| Laigroo joins PDP | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 27: In a significant development the ex-municipal commissioner Srinagar, former MD of State finance corporation Mohd Aslam Laiguru joined PDP.
In a press statement issued here, The PDP spokesman said that Mohd Aslam Personally meet the party high command to show his solidarity with the party. Party patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed and president Mehbooba Mufti welcomed Laigroo.
The party spokesman said that this move is a significant in a sense that Mohd Aslam who has attained different high level positions in the state bureaucracy will share his experience for the benefit of society as a whole.
Mohd Aslam, it may be mentioned was very close to National Conference. He took various initiatives and has successfully launched the Srinagar beautification campaign.
Aslam said he had joined the party because of his conviction. "I believe that the party is the real caretaker of the wishes and aspiration of the common masses", he said. |
