JAMMU, Aug 28: Police have arrested three gamblers from Karrah in Lakhanpur area of Kathua and recovered an amount of Rs 7,650 from them.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided Karrah and arrested the gamblers, police sources said.
The accused were identified as Pawan Kumar, Vipan Kumar and Vinod Kumar, all residents of Karrah. Their accomplice Tara Singh, son of Balwant Singh of Karrah, however, managed to flee the spot.
Police seized an amount of Rs 7,650 from them. A hunt was on to nab Tara, police said. |
