| SSB recruit lifted on disclosure of arrested | | Inter-state chain snatchers gang busted | | vehicle lifters

JAMMU, Aug 28:
Bakshi Nagar police lifted a paramilitary recruit from Paloura in connection with vehicle lifting case. He was lifted from his residence on the disclosure of the two vehicle lifters arrested on Saturday evening in Bakshi Nagar area.
Informed sources said that Baskhi Nagar police conducted a raid in Paloura and lifted Special Security Bureau recruit identified as Dharamveer Singh son of Uttam Singh. Dharamveer was lifted following the disclosure of Narinder Singh son of Jagdish Singh of Srinagar and Sunny Batra son of Vijay Batra of Roop Nagar. Duo was arrested with a Santro car bearing registration number JK01J- 7830 by police. Raids were on to lift some more suspects till late hours in Paloura, sources said.
Meanwhile, Gandhi Nagar police has busted a chain snatchers gang and arrested three persons in this connection including one of Punjab based. Sources identified two as Ashok and Natha Ram, both residents of Vijaypur. On their disclosure a police team rushed to Pathankot in neighbouring state of Punjab and arrested their third accomplice. Their sustained interrogation was in progress at Gandhi Nagar police station to elicit more information. |
