Kissan Movement demands procurement centres under JAKFED | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Aug 29: The Kissan Movement (Wing of Nature- Mankind Friendly Movement) has urged the government to pay serious attention to the plight of farmers Addressing a press conference her today, district president Kissan Movement Hurmat Singh and General Secretary Daya Ram Sharma said that farmers whose produce in the field is going to be ready soon for harvesting needed to be supported by the authorities for better results. It is demanded that procurement centres under the supervision of JAKFED should be opened immediately in order to protect the grains of farmers. They urged the state government to frame a concrete and constructive policy to procure the produce, availability of high quality seed, and providing the fertilizers timely before October for the better production of next crop. They said that the agriculture sector has totally been in worse condition due to taking up the chemical technology and due to the lack of agriculture policy of the government and the result is the decreasing number of farmers and fragmentation of the land and other side the corrupt practices has caused its adverse affect on the major portion of the society that is farming community. Both the problems are created by the corporate capitalist is needed to be changed and uprooted by launching the mass movement. In this context the Kissan Movement will continue to wage its war against this rotten and worst one sided anti-nature, anti-mankind global corporate system. On the occasion, the Kissan Movement office bearers congratulated Anna Hazare and his team for a historic victory of their movement against corruption. |
