| 8kg poppy straw seized, one held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 29:
Police today arrested a narcotic smugger and recovered eight kilograms of poppy straw from his possession in Ghagwal in Samba district, official sources said.
They said that based on inputs, a police team led by SHO Ghagwal Inspector Tilak Raj Bhardwaj under the supervision of SSP Samba, Israr Khan and DySP headquarter Shazaad Salaria, conducted raid in a Dhaba at Sangwali Morh opposite Nonath Ashram, Ghagwal.
Police nabbed one Lal Chand son of Khem Raj of Chhan Arorian, Kathua and recovered 8 kg of Poppy Straw from his possession. Accordingly Case FIR No: 22/2011 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered with Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started. |
