Professor Bhim Singh, Chairman, J&K National Panthers Party and Member, Member, National Panthers Party hosted Iftaar in the Dogra City of Jammu last evening at Jammu Ashok. Several notables of Jammu participated in the Iftaar. Among the prominent persons from the civil society, Jammu Bar, University and political life included Prof. Varun Sahni, Vice Chancellor, Vice President of Jammu Bar Association, Mr. Usman Salaria, Additional Advocate-General, General Goverdhan Singh Jamwal, General Dhar, President of Jammu University, Teachers Association, Masood Choudhary, Former Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Posh Charak, HoD, English Department, Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Yashpaul Kundal, Syed Rafiq Shah (all legislators), President-Duggar Pradesh Party, Mohan Singh, Ghulam Mohammad Sarangiwale, several leaders of Young Panthers and NPSU. Besides, several professors of Jammu University, prominent advocates and political activists from Districts of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi and Kathua also. Professor Bhim Singh hosted Iftaar in Srinagar (Kashmir) on August 27 and on August 29, 2011. He shall host Iftaar in Kargil on August 30. Professor Bhim Singh is first Dogra notable who has been hosting Iftaar in Kashmir Valley since 1996. Maharaja Hari Singh was the last Dogra who hold Iftaar in Kashmir Valley in September 1947 |
