Congress leader take stock of the problems of Raipur- Domana people | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 29: Former minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram has convened a meeting of prominent Congress workers of Raipur Domana assembly constituency and took stock of the problems of people and the organizational setup. Talenter Singh, president block Congress Committee Bhalwal, while addressing said that the development works in the block have gone to a grand halt. The condition of roads, lanes and drains has become miserable. Due to heavy rains the farmers have suffered a great loss to their crops and houses got damaged. The other speakers have also highlighted the problems of people of their respective areas. Mula Ram listened to the grass root level Congress workers patiently and assured them that he will take up their all genuine problems with the concerned departments and agencies for redressal. He advised the party functionaries to go to the people at the grass root level, listen to their problems and bring these problems to his notice for redressal. He said that the central and state government has launched many welfare schemes for the upliftment of poor and downtrodden people. The Congress functionaries should make aware the people about these schemes so that the benefits reach to the needy and genuine people. Hari Singh Chib, chairman Labour Cell of PCC in his address expressed concern over the unemployment and said that the youth of rural area of Jammu district, specially the Kandi belt of Raipur Domana constituency are totally depend upon the service, as there is a rare scope of setting up of self-employment units etc. He demanded for special recruitment drive for kandi belt of the constituency in police and para military forces. He also stressed for strengthening the organization at the grass root level in the constituency. Among others who spoke in the meeting were Sibat Singh, Ishar Dass, Muktiyar Singh, Rajinder Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Romesh Singh, Raju Bhagat, Balbir Singh, Yung Bhadur, Capt. Sampuran Singh and Suraj Parkash. |
