| JD (U) congratulates people, MPs for supporting Janlokpal bill | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 29:
Pradesh Janata Dal (United) today held a meeting to discuss the political scenario of the state.
The meeting was chaired by State president Inder Mohinder Tar Singh at party head quarters.
In the meeting, Janata Dal (U) congratulated the people of Indian Union and the support of parliamentarians to the Lok Pal Bill. Party thanked all the political parties of India for showing strength and unity to save the Country from anarchy.
Party hoped the sanctity of parliament and constitution of India be maintained by all the means in democratic manner.
The party observed that by ending the fast Gandhian Anna Hazare has shown the civil society the way country need at this crucial point of time.
In the meeting, Er Sanjeev Gupta State General Secretary of the party appreciated the stand taken by Sharad Yadav National President of the party in the Parliament for supporting Lokpal. Jantal Dal United already had clear vision about the Lok Pal bill so much so Nitish Kumar Chief Minister of Bihar was the first Chief Minister of the country to announce the Lok Pal bill in Bihar. Gupta added that now the party looks forward towards Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to follow the parliament and introduce the Lok Pal bill in J&K, so that the people of the state get the right of accountability along with the rest of the country. |
