KHC concerned over embezzlement in migrants’ relief | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 29: Kashmiri Hindu Conference (KHC) expressed serious concern over a sensational news item appearing in section of media alleging loot in the name of migrants by the Ex Revenue Relief and Rehabilitation Minister hailing from Budgam. KHC executive who met under the chairmanship of ML Thusoo said the news is shocking and disgusting. Five hundred non-migrant families made clandestinely migrants is a daredevil act. Speaking on the occasion P.L. Koul Budgami convener said that this speaks volumes about the corrupt practices going on in the state. KL Ganjoo, the Vice president said that action admissible under rules should be initiated against the dishonest former minister. He demanded fool proof system of relief distribution to avoid any such future scam. The house unanimously resolved that a criminal case against the ex-minister and officials be initiated immediately and migrant status for non-migrants be stopped forth with. |
