| Cong hails expansion of Municipal Council, Udh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Aug 29:
District Congress Committee has hailed the expansion of Municipal Council Udhampur.
A meeting of Congress workers held under the presidentship of Brij Mohan Sharma welcomed the decision of the government to expand the limits of Municipal Council which was a long pending demand of the people of Udhampur
Speaking on the occasion, Brij Mohan Sharma hailed the SRO 247 and thanked Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand for his efforts to expand MCU. The meeting was also addressed by Sham Lal Samnotra, Girdhari Lal, Kumar Kalotra, Anant Ram Darahi and Lal Singh
Another meeting in this regard held under the presidentship of Dr Jagdish Prasher District president of All India Rajeev Gandhi Brigade. The meeting was organized by Vijay Manhas resident Block Congress Committee Udhampur.
While addressing the meeting Dr Jadish Prasher said that with this expansion a new chapter of historic development of Udhampur Town shall begin.
Geeta Devi General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee also chaired a meeting of Congress workers and hailed the expansion of Municipal Council Udhampur.
She said that the demand of expansion of MC Udhampur was submitted to former Chief Minister Gulam Nabhi Azad, who had issued necessary instruction in this regard. |
