EPTWS fast enters third day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 29: Demanding ownership rights, Inder Mohinder Singh Tar, president, Evacuees Property Tenants Welfare Society (EPTWS) fast entered third day here today.
Talking to media persons at dharna site, Inder Mohinder Singh Tar said that their ultimate demands is to get ownership rights on EP houses as they don't want to be slave at the hands of Government anymore.
He urged the Chief Minister to come forward and announce the closure of Custodian Department and give them ownership rights. He said that they are ready to pay the cost of the houses at the time of construction and also 25 per cent administrative expenses towards the department.
Singh said that all over the India such property has already been handed over to the tenants and the Custodian Department has been closed.
He urged the tenants to come forward and join hands to carry out the struggle jointly and to get their demands fulfilled by the Government. He said their protest will be peaceful without entering into violence as the same has no place in today's contest.
Among others present were Raj Kumar Gupta, organizing secretary, Gurcharan Singh, Ganesh Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Bachan Veer, Sham Lal and Mohini.
