Guv, CM, DCM greet people on Eid-ul-Fitr Felicitate people, pray for peace, prosperity

SRINAGAR, Aug 30:
The Governor, Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have greeted the people of the state on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Governor N N Vohra has extended warm greetings to the people on the happy and auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a message of felicitations, the Governor expressed the hope that this joyous occasion would be the harbinger of sustained peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity, which are the hallmarks of the State’s glorious pluralistic traditions.
The Governor prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has also felicitated people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr wishing them well being and prosperity.
In his Eid message issued here today, the Chief Minister has reminded the people of the essence of Eid adding that this Day demands us remember the poor and needy, and share the happiness with them.
Omar Abdullah said that the spirit behind the observance of Eid-ul-Fitr is to express our thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the courage to observe fast in the month of Ramdhan and rededicate ourselves to the truthfulness, sincerity, self control, patience and human dignity showing complete obedience to Allah.
“Eid also embeds the message of taking care of the needy and making them part of the happiness by extending economic support to them”, he said and expressed the hope that the Eid would bring peace, prosperity and well-being to the State and the people all over the world.
Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand has also greeted the people of the State on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr
In an Eid message, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us of our responsibility to help poor a needy and inculcates the spirit of sharing happiness and joy with everyone. He said every religion teaches us peace, brotherhood, amity and love besides tolerance and patience. He said let us all pledge today to work together for the peace, prosperity and well being of the State and its people.
Tara Chand expressed the hope that the Eid will open a new chapter of progress and all round development in the State.
