| Akhoon visits Hazratbal, reviews Eid arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 30:
Minister for CA&PD and Transport Qamar Ali Akhoon today visited Dargh Sharif Hazratbal to have an on the spot evaluation of the arrangements put in place for smooth and hassle free congressional prayers and celebration of Eid.
Transport Commissioner Syed Mohammad Fazlullah, Director CAPD, Abdul Wahid Tak and other senior officers accompanied him.
The Minister reviewed the transport plan framed by the administration for ferrying of devotees to revered Dargah Sharif. He also took stock of sanitation drinking water, power and other civic amenities.
Akhoon said adequate number of buses both SRTC and private and mini buses have been pressed into service for catering to transport needs of the devotees.
The Minister stressed on fostering perfect coordination among different departments for efficient arrangements. He also urged the transporters to adhere to transport plan for mutual convenience and comfort of all. |
