PDP Calls for redressal of employees problems
8/30/2011 9:38:56 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar Aug 30: Urging the government to resolve the issues raised by its employees the PDP today said the government could have made a fresh attempt at creating goodwill by using the auspicious occasion of Eid to have initiated at least some measures in that direction.

In a statement issued here today the spokesman of the party said the government should give up confrontational part with its employees whom it is trying to silence through force like all other sections of the society.

He said there is a lot of merit in most of the demands made by the employees and the government’s argument of any moral or logical strength. He said even the so called calenders issued by the finance department from time to time for its employees and pensioners are not being followed.

Similarly, the government should either concede the demand for enhancement of retirement age or convince its employees of the discrimination between the state employees and central services employees serving the state.

The spokesman said on the one hand the government is continuing its policy of back door entries into the government mostly favouring those who bribe the authorities and on the other it has failed to fulfill the commitment of regularizing the contractual and daily rated employees who had been promised regularization under an agreement.

He said even petty jobs like seasonal and casual labours are now being sold either for political loyality or money.

This situation will lead the state administration into a total collapse without a remedy insight.
