| Couple drown in nullah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 30:
A young couple today drowned in a nallah in Kagote area of Ramnagar tehsil of Udhampur district.
Police said that Suram Chand (24) son of Nokhu Ram and his wife Sushma Devi, both of Kagote were crossing a local nallah of their area, when they lost balance and drowned.
Some people, who spotted them while drowning, police said, raised alarm and rushed for their help.
“The couple had drowned and their bodies were fished out by the local divers,” police said, adding Ramnagar police team rushed there and shifted bodies to the concerned sub district hospital for post mortem.
The bodies, police said, were handed over to the family members for performing last rites after the legal formalities.
