NPP meet discusses present political situation

Jammu, Aug 31: J&K NPP meeting was held and presided over by the Bhim Singh in which the present political situation of the state was discussed.
The party secretariat reviewed its campaign for reorganisation of the state and decided measures to streamline the organisation.
Besides the legislators of the party Harshdev Singh MLA(Working Chairman), Balwan Singh Mankotia MLA(President), Yash Pal Kundal MLA(Gen Secy)& Sayed Rafiq Shah MLC(Youth President), BB Kotwal(Vice Chairman), S.Daljit Sing & SS Jamwal(vice Presidents),H.C.Jalmeria(Gen Secy & spokesman), Anita Thakur(Gen. Secy), Bansi Lal Sharma(President Reorganisation Committee), Shakti Gupta(President Panthers Trade Union) participated.
H C Jalmeria presented report on party activities of the past six months.
The party secretariat noted that the people are dissatisfied with the present dispensation of NC-Cong in the state which has failed to address the issues of unemployment, discrimination, development and the rampant corruption. Given chance, the people want to vote out the present coalition.
The party noted with satisfaction that the Agenda 2011(party’s programme for reorganisation of the state) is rapidly becoming popular and acceptable to the people of all the three regions of the state.
By making three assemblies, chief ministers, secretariats functional round the year in the three regions, the long pending aspirations of the people can be met.
Committees were formulated to carry intensive campaign simultaneously in different districts of Jammu region in the first instance.
Committee headed by Harshdev Singh shall campaign in Doda, Kishtwar & Ramban districts, that headed by Balwant Mankotia shall campaign in Kathua and Reasi districts and that headed by YP Kundal shall campaign in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
The party decided to organise conventions of Panthers Trade Union,women power, youth-students, ST & SC section.
Preparations for accession day celebrations for 26-27 October were also discussed.
While appreciating the anti-corruption movement launched by Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev, the party strongly wanted implementation in J&K of the Lok Pal law about to be passed by the Parliament in view of the fact that J&K has got distinction of having become the no.1 corrupt state in the country.
The party secretariat welcomed Bhim Singh after his return from Japan visit where he observed one day fast on August 6 at Hiroshima in reverence to those who were killed on that day in 1945 when US dropped first Atom Bomb.
The party secretariat also appreciated its Student-Youth wing for vigorously carrying struggle of Central University Jammu to victory.
