AJKLTF held meet, discusses various demands

JAMMU, August 31: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teacher's Federation organized press conference under the leadership of Salwan Singh Jamwal, President of the Federation to discuss the various demands and organizational matters.
The representatives from various districts of Jammu province participated in press conference. Agenda of Press Conference was to discuss the Government’s adamant attitude in redressing the genuine demands of teachers and also to discuss that the employees would observe 3 days Kaam Choor Hartal on 6th, 7th and 8th September.
AJKL TF Extended warm greetings to the Muslim brother and sisters on the happy and auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fiter and prayed to almighty to bring peace and prosperity in the state and world.
While addressing the press conference Jamwal strongly condemned the state Government for its failure to solve the genuine demands of the teachers.
He further warned the Government not to play with the sentiments of the employees and release the 6th pay commission arrears in favour or employees in two equal installments and fulfill the other agreed demands.
Federation members also demanded regularization of all cadres of Education Department working in their own pay and grade from the date of their promotion, timely release of salary grants.
He further said that vacant posts in education department should be filled with immediate effect to streamline the education system. He also demands that cash in lieu be given to the teaching community on the pattern of other state government employees.
Members of the federation requested employees to remain united and be ready for the broader struggle to achieve the pending demands.
Federation also supported the three days strike call (Kaam Choor Hartal) on 6th, 7th and 8th of September 2011 given by the Joint Consultative Committee and requested the employees and workers of the state to observe the strike to show their solidarity with the other state government employees for the redressel of pending demands.

Sharma, S. Rajinder Singh, Jyoti Parkash, Naresh Chowdhary, Mohd. Quyoom, Paramjeet Singh, Rajinder Sharma, Sanjavan Singh, Naseem Qureshi, Hardeep Singh and others.
