| Estimates Committee calls on Union Defence Minister | | |
Jammu, Dec 3
State Estimates Committee led by its Chairman Mr. Gh. Hassan Khan today called on Union Defence Minister, Mr. A.K. Antony at his residence in New Delhi and discussed various issues pertaining to the development scenario of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Committee also held threadbare discussion on the current status and progress of various roads being executed in the state under defence sector. Member ligistative Assembly, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma pleaded for accelerating the pace of work on Dhar-Udhampur, Bani-Basohli and Bhaderwah roads.
Besides Committee members Mr. Sajad Ahmed Kichloo, Mr. Brij Mohan, Mr. Yogesh Sawhney, Mr. Rashpal Singh, Mr. Bhasharat Bukhari, Mrs. Shanti Devi, Resident Commissioner Mr. S.V.Bhave accompanied Mr. Khan.
Earlier, the Committee inspected various assets of the State located in New Delhi and directed the concerned for their proper upkeep and maintenance. |
