| TTDF allege ignorance of tehsil Thathri on many fronts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Thathri, Sep 1: President Tehsil Thathri Development Front Kuldeep Kumar Rao has urged PHE Minister, Health Minister and MOS for Power to personally look into the grievances of the people of Tehsil Thathri, district Doda as the people of Hagona, Panshaee, Sichal ,Joura Kalan and Joura Khurd have to travel 4 to 5 kms to fetch a bucket of water as the PHE Department has totally failed to maintain the water supply in these localities.
The people of Joura Kalan ,Hagona, and Sichal had approached to PHE Minister one year back but their marked applications have been thrown in the dustbin by PHE Department Doda. PHE Minister had also instructed concerned SE & Xen Doda to take the notice. Even then no appropriate action has so far been taken.
Rao urged the state Government to immediately redress the grievances of the people of Tehsil Thathri.
No electric supply is being given to villages like Suranga, Kunthal, Sichal and many villages in Chiralla area.
The people of this Tehsil are facing great hardships on this account.
It is highly regrettable that the scheduled Tribe village Kunthal has never got electrified till now despite their repeated requests.
The scheduled caste village Suranga was once electrified some thirty years ago but now not even a single pole or wire exists in the village.
Every thing has been damaged. The inhabitants of Suranga are without electric light for the last 25 years.
Both the villages be electrified immediately. And if there is any difficulty in their immediate electrification, then solar lights be provided. The population of both the places feel that they are being ignored only because they belong to depressed communities.
Rao further said that for the last thirty years neither any further electrification or water schemes have been implemented in the left over large areas nor have the already fitted water pipes or electric poles, been repaired in Tehsil Thathri.
No sanction of new Health sub-centres or upgradation in Tehsil Thathri has been done. They demanded new health sub-centres for Sichal & Suranga.
As far upgradation of health sub-centre Joura Kalan to PHC is concerned , the favourable feasibility report from Director health services Jammu on the direction of then Divisional Commissioner Jammu is lying in the office of Secretary Health Department of J&K government for the last five years & gathering dust there. Sharma has been apprised of this problem several times & the concerned MLA MS Niaz had also written to Health Minister about the genuineness of this demand, yet nothing has so far been done. They urged Health Minister to urgently look into the matter and do the needful immediately
