| Youth dies due to snake bite, doc booked for negligence | | | JAMMU: Ramnagar in Udhampur district observed a complete bandh today following the death of a youth due to the alleged negligence of a doctor.
Abhishek, son of Vijay Kumar, was admitted to the Ramnagar hospital for the treatment of snake bite.
Quoting locals, police said a doctor, who was on duty, did not allegedly attend Abhishek properly when he was admitted to the hospital.
Abhishek later died. In protest against the alleged negligence of the doctor, shopkeepers today downed their shutters and college students boycotted their classes and held a demonstration.
They were pacified only after CMO visited the spot and apologized. Police said the doctor had been booked under relevant sections of law. |
