| Jan visits flood affected areas | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 1: MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan today conducted an extensive tour of the flood affected areas in his constituency which have been badly effected by the recent flash floods in Poonch.
During his tour he inspected the link road to the largest village of constituency which was virtually cut off in the recent flash flood and the link was restored in two days in view of Eid festival on the request made by the legislator to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah but the same got washed away again in the flash flood last night and a large no of inhabitants of the three panchayats of Khanetar Duprian, Khanetar Dhalera and Khanetar Kalsan led by the sarpanches Mohd Shabir, Mohd Yasin and lady sarpanch Naseem Akhter and panches met the MLA at his residence in Poonch to personally supervise the operation in the afternoon which would ultimately boost the morale of people of the area.
They also submitted a written resolution to the MLA thanking the chief minister for the timely intervention and MLA Poonch and the district administration for working round the clock in the redressel of their grievances.
Later in the day the legislator accompanied with XEN PWD Opinder Kar.BDO Poonch Aijaz Qaiser,AEE PWD Imtiaz Mir And JE's of PWD and rural development Deptt visited the area and personally supervised the operation On war footing,The people assembled on spot had all the praises for the Chief Minister, MLA Poonch officers of PWD and RDD.
