| India gained freedom in 1947-48 and with it about 560 or Ex states also won freedom from the British. As a result J&K State Ruler whose elders belonged to Jammu also gained freedom with the independent. The ruler of J&K was reluctant to make up his mind to join which of the two countries India or Pakistan and so remained independent. It resulted to give a chance to Pakistan to attach the State of J&K in area adjoining to it with as a result that it occupied part of Jammu Province and Gilgit. The ruler on this account made a hasty choice and joined India Union on certain conditions which allowed India control of its defense and communication. As it happened the Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdullah had his own grudge against the ruler who had put him behind bars and Jawahar Lal Nehru the Indian Congress Leaders, a personal friend of Sheikh and was Indian Congress Leader having his personal grudge against the ruler they had foolishly accordingly to Indian P.M. The Kashmiri Leader behind bars. As such as Jawahar Lal Nehru assumed the Chair of PM the ruler was forced to grant freedom to Sheikh Abdullah the Kashmiri Leaders who was personal friend of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Since the ruler had earned that IRE of Indian PM he took the opportunity to place Sheikh Abdullah as PM of Kashmir (so there were two PMs and other one a PM of Jammu & Kashmir). On assuming the chair as PM he forth with proceeded asking his friend one. Mohd Afzal Beig as his Revenue Minister. In the meantime keeping in view the special status of J&K an Article 370 was introduced in the Indian Constitution to give specific powers and status to J&K State which was completely dominated by local man from Kashmir centric leaders. Specific ransoming law for devolution of landed property was brought into force and most of the land owned by Jammu people who were into force and most of the land owned by Jammu people who were associated with the turning community were taken away by the Abdullah Government with one stroke of pen & their rights is property were extinguished. Besides, the other owner of land in Jammu and also spare & meager agricultural land owners were also deprived of their rights to property in lands to a large extent in Kashmir valley which was also too meager. Ultimately the ancestral land owners in Jammu & Kashmir in the long run became paupers and some of them were forced to even sell their lands as a matter of distress sales. As in one go of law they had ¼th of the share of produce which was ultimately earlier at rate of ½ share of produce and ancestral land owners were forced to beg as paupers and the new proletariat have become bourgeoisie of the country side as new land owners. Moreover Nazool and Forest lands were also taken over by the penniless new bourgeoisie land owners who also did not spare even forest land which they occupied as proprietary land owners an not as proletariat. Now the position has been reversed. The paupers have become paupers.
Now nemesis appears to have come to scorch. New land owners who were earlier petty paupers and possibly the nemesis again descended upon these millioners petty paupers of old as the Honb'le Justice of Supreme Court and other High Courts have declare that the Govts. Are the biggest land grabbers and lowers class ancestral land holders have become penniless as they have no land but have become milliners quirk of fate and time and may with help of expected decisions of Hon'ble Justice of Supreme High Courts in Haryana (including Nodia of UP) and also Rajasthan and Punjab. Besides Orissa and Bengal High Courts have negated the orders of the Government for resumption of Farmers land against their consent which rightly belonged to them earlier and for which the Government has not agreed to any compensation at reasonable rates. Now the land can be expected to go back to the earlier rightful owners farmers Deprivation of the ancestral land of farmers was taken as per their land have without any power compensation which was not accepted or if at all not paid or accepted at Rs 3/- per sq metre and were not accepted whereas the market price of such land is Rs 5000/- or so per metre. Moreover no compensation for land acquired under PMGSY programme was granted and no compensation at all though Ministry of Rural Development in J&K and Rural Dev Ministry office in Delhi which was also approached 78 years back so this is the approach of the State Government and the Central Government.
It is hoped that justice shall be done somewhere and if none at all here in the State or at the Central well, where shall emerge form for justice at the hands of the Supreme Court and other High Court.
There appears ray of hope on the efforts being made by respected Rahul Gandhi, the grandson of Late Indira Gandhi they PM who was daughter of late Jawahar Lal Nehru, the Indian PM. It is very much appreciated that respected Rahul Gandhi Congress Gen Secretary has come all out to the rescue the farmers of Meerut Division in UP including that of Nodia and other areas of other states in India as also Rajastan including J&K & Rajasthan, Punjab. It is said that Central Govt is taking up an enactment to rescue the land holders from the grab of State Governments & their political ministers and also land sharks of the country and legally grabbed lands restored to the right for land holders who were in possession of their ancestral lands but were taken away without their consent and against their wishes & is a rebuff Land Sharks in powers in Government and also otherwise.
