| Empowering youth the Army way | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sep 2: In continuation to army’s drive to express solidarity with the local populace under ‘Op Sadhbhawna’ the Chenb gunners under aegis of Crossed swords Division presented 2 computers along with their accessories periherals and 30 educational CD’s to the students of Govt Girls High School Jourian.
The function was organized inside the school premise and was attended by the senior citizens, village elders, ex serviceman parents, teachers and students. Commanding officer of unit at Mandiwal, on behalf of the formation, presented the computers and accessories to the Principal of the school.
Later during the thanks giving speech, the Principal expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gesture and said, “ It is only due to the all out efforts being undertaken by the crossed swords Division in empowering the youth especially the girls of this area that is proving a secure, peaceful and tranquil environment for imparting education in the region.
Shallu Sharma a class ninth standard student said, the computer and their accessories shall prove very beneficial in our computer lab as more students shall be able to operate them simultaneously. |
