Ex- CBI head distributes Rs.50 lakh scholarship to JK students

Srinagar , Sep 2: Around 31 scholarships worth Rs 31 lakh would be distributed on the spot to the needy students in last admission cum scholarship Mela to be organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh exclusively for Jammu & Kashmir students on 3rd-5th September, 2011 at Hotel Jahangir, Jahangir Chowk, Srinagar.
Giving this information Anshu Kataria, chairman, Aryans Group said that students need to get prior registration on Helpline Number 97967-50888, 098762-99888, 098765-99888 to attend the scholarship interviews.
Earlier to that ex CBI head S. Joginder Singh distributed Rs.50 lakh scholarship to JK students. He also distributed books & stationery to the needy students.
Aryans Group always tries to help economical backward & poor section of the society.
For this, the Group has already signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kiran Bedi’s Navjyoti India Foundation.
Kataria further said that scholarship was based on merit cum means basis for MBA, B.Tech (1st Year) & B.Tech (LEET), BBA, BCA, B.Ed & nursing courses.
He added that those students who could not afford to pay the tuition fees availed the benefit of the scholarship. The scholarship amount was between Rs.10000 to Rs.300000 per student.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans 20acre campus is situated on Chandigarh- Patiala highway. The group is running MBA College, BBA/ BCA College, B.Ed College and Engineering College. Hundreds of Jammu and Kashmir students are studying in Aryans Campus.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans Group has recently been awarded the best upcoming B-School of North India by the renowned magazine "Business and Management Chronicle".
Kiran Bedi (First Women IPS) awarded ABS Chandigarh as Best Upcoming B - School of North India in the Times Research Education Excellence Awards Ceremony 2010.ABS has also been ranked 48th in India by Dainik Bhaskar.
