Sham addresses public darbar at Ambaran | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 2: Minister for Health, Sham Lal Sharma said that equitable development of all three regions of the State is prime motto of the State coalition government for which a big fillip is being given to the development profile. The Minister said this while addressing a public meeting at Ambaran in Akhnoor Block here today. Minister said that liberal funding from central government for development of the State has immensely helped Jammu and Kashmir to reach new highs of peace and progress. He said that the government is keen to improve healthcare facilities in the State by making available well trained and specialist doctors and latest diagnostic and treatment equipments especially in remote health institutions. He said the state is fast progressing on the front of health services and the day is not far away when the people, even in far off villages can avail specialized consultancy at their doorsteps. Asking the Sarpanchs, Panchs and members to perform their duty with added zeal and dedication, he said that the government is endeavouring a lot to empower the basic democracies in the State. On the occasion, Sarpanchs, Panchs apprised the Minister about their grievances and demands which included un-interrupted power supply, potable water, road connectivity, anganwadi centres, teaching staff, better medicare, etc. Sham assured them that all their genuine demands would be addressed at the earliest and issued on spot instructions to the concerned for early disposal of the issues brought up in the public meeting. Meanwhile, it was informed in the public meeting that His Holiness Dalai Lama is visiting the Budhist monastery at Ambara in November of this year. Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr. Baldev Raj Sharma, other senior officers of concerned departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs and a large number of people were also present on the occasion.
