Give due recognition to contested candidates: JKMF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sep 2: J&K Milchar Front (JKMF) has urged the government to give due recognition to those persons who have ever contested a legislative assembly or a parliamentary election but could not win. State general secretary Kumar Rao said that such persons are mostly those people who have some image in their respective areas and are always associated with service of the public in one way or the other. Rao further said three demands of theirs should be sympathetically considered and granted by the government without any further delay The first is that they should be made the members of the district development boards so that they can give their valuable suggestions for the benefit of the constituencies to which they belong. Their second demand is that permanent security be provided to them as most of them actively involved in many social service activities which might make some anti social elements their enemies. Their third demand is that they should either be issued permanent gate passes “ for entering the secretariat and the assembly in session or their election identity cards be treated as the “passes”.
