EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sep 2: In its new Friday series attempt, Nav Durga Kala Manch came up with a novel theme executed through Proscenium Theater that highlights the schizophrenic character of a woman living in a hallucinated world of her creation where she often converses with her dead lover.

The state of mind of the woman is highly distracted and volatile that she refuses even to budge down over many requests made by the people around about the non existence of any such person.

The woman in the process refuses to relent and takes her sense of alignment with the dead lover to the heights where she too meets the eventual waterloo.

The play was hinged on the fulcrum of a dementia and hallucinations of a torn lover who sees her beloved’s life seeping out of him whom she fails to erase from her memory.

This impresses upon her mind that that her lover is still alive and come to visit her frequently.

The play was an impromptu presentation by Reetu Manhas who conceived, directed and synthesized the idea into a strong manifestation of a drama which was enacted by herself .

She impressed the audience by her mature performance of the wilting character of a woman faced with such a situation and brought up a strong presentation.

Reetu, of late, has shown her proficiency as a mature artist and her maiden attempt as actor director and concept visualize of the play entitle ‘Khamoshi’ today has groomed her perfection to clinical best.

Tarun Sudershan Vasson on lights produced a scintillating affect of the aura of an intimate theatre that was witnessed by a select gathering at Performing Art studio. He also later held the presentation part of the show.

Deepak Prasher who attends the shows regularly has said that as New Delhi holds the capital like wise Reetu is the mainstay of Nav Durga whose persistent activity has spiraled the group to bigger heights

Next in the Friday series is Rajneesh Gupta’s Dogri play “ Nandu Da Byah”.
