| Army organizes Eid event at Mahore , | | distributes clothes among poor and needy . | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT

In its sustained effort to look after the needy people in the holy
month of Ramzan, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in Mahore Area of
district Reasi distributed clothes to needy people on the auspicious
occasion of Eid ul Fiter . Large number of people were gathered on the
occasion and they thanked the army unit for its efforts to share the
happy movements of Eid with them .
The Commanding Officer of the Battalion visited the Mosques at
Sarh and Mahore and greeted everyone on the occasion of “Eid”. He
distributed Eidi to the children and then handed over the clothes to
the “Moulvi” to further distribute to the needy. The locals who were
present on the occasion were seen thanking the Army personnel for
coming and sharing the happiness of “Eid” with them. There was an air
of festivity to mark the occasion. The Army personnel also distributed
“Sewian” to all persons who had come to offer their prayers. After
years of staying under constant threat of militancy in this area, the
locals thoroughly enjoyed the moment and thanked the Army for bringing
back Peace and Harmony in the Area. Speaking on the occasion , the
local people appreciated the role of army being played in the area
saying that the present peace is the result of the sacrifices given by
army in fighting the terrorists who had made their life miserable .
