JAMMU, Sept 02: High court judge, Justice J P Singh, in a petition filed by Dr Kulbushan Gupta seeking promotion to the post of assistant professor in the department of radio diagnosis, has directed commissioner/secretary health and medical education department to appear in person in third week of September, 2011, to answer all material questions regarding the petitioner's claim to consideration for promotion to the post of assistant professor.
The state counsel was asked to respond as to whether there was any impediment in considering the petitioner for promotion to the post of assistant professor in the department of radio diagnosis along with all eligible candidates pursuant to his exoneration by the committee constituted to look into his conduct.
Justice Singh observed that to deal with the prayer of the petitioner, it is considered necessary to state government's response as to whether there was any impediment in petitioner's consideration to the post of assistant professor in the department of radio diagnosis.
He directed the commissioner/secretary, health and medical education department to appear in person.
