In fresh salvo at NC, Cong accuses coalition partner of bias | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Sep 1: The verbal spats between senior functionaries may not be there to stay for the time being but in a fresh salvo at NC, Congress workers of Vijaypur yesterday accused it and Samba district administration of bias towards them. The accusation was made by Congress workers in their monthly meeting held at Vijaypur Thursday. There had been series of arguments and counter-arguments between senior NC and Congress leaders on different platforms in the recent past. However, in the Vijaypur meeting, which was headed by Congress leader and former minister Manjit Singh, it was alleged that NC and Samba district administration had adopted a biased approach towards Congress. They alleged that Samba district administration had been ignoring their genuine demands at the behest of NC leaders. The meeting, organized by Congress block president Amarnath Bhatti, was also attended by the party’s sarpanchs and panchs. Manjit called upon the Congress workers to remain united and work for strengthening the party. He warned to start dharnas and protests in Samba district if the administration continued its biased attitude towards Congress workers. District vice-president Babal Gupta, sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh, Prempal Singh, Brijpal Singh Gogi, naib-sarpanch Ram Murti Sharma, Kailash Kumari, ex-sarpanch Gurjit Singh, Bachan Singh, Pushpraj, ex-beopar mandal president Satish Chander, Harnam Singh and Gautam Singh were also present in the meeting.
