Akber’s route leads to prisons! | 6 Shopian youth arrested near Kalakote | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 2: Several youth trying to reach Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) through the historic Mughal Road have found themselves behind the bars. Reports said a joint naka by the army and police near Kalakote exposed a new route used by Kashmiri youth to reach POK for getting arms training. Reports said on Friday personnel of the 63 RR based at Kalakote along with Police party led by Mohd Bashir, SHO Kalakote intercepted a group of six civilians hailing from Shopian area of Valley at the Mobile Check Post at Kalakote at 1045 hours. Aged between 20-24 years, the youth have been identified as Ashiq Hussain Wagay son of Mohd Ramzan R/o Badrama, Masooq Parray son of Abdul Rahim , Ab Hameed Dar, Mohd Rajab Dar, Mudassar Ahmed Nazar son of Mohammad Nazar R/o Dagama, Mohd Yonis Pal son of Abdul Ahmed Pal, Badrama and Riyan Parray son of Ali Ahmed Parray R/o Badrama. Reports said the arrested youth were planning to ex-filtrate from Rajouri Sector to Pakistan to be trained as militants in the camps based in Pakistan. On being interrogated, the civilians revealed that they were sent to PoK to join the training camps to revive the dwindling militancy in the valley. The arrest of the six persons has been a major set back to the sleeper cells operating in the Rajouri sector who are desperately trying to revive militancy in the area.
