| Man dies in custody | | |

One person allegedly died in custody after he was send to judicial custody here today.
Sources said that Mukand Lal son of Ghukal Chand of Padder Kishtwar died in police custody. The man was allegedly involved in food adulteration and was presented before Munsiff Court yesterday where from he was send for judicial custody . Official sources said that the man who taken in custody yesterday was found dead today morning.
However, the family members and relatives of the deceased allege that he was killed after police he was given him third degree in the lockup. The relatives have approached SDM who assured them that the matter would be inquired.
Meanwhile police denied the allegations and said that the person died after he slipped in bathroom. |
