| Foreign Militant killed | | |
Srinagar, Dec 03
A foreign militant was killed while one civilian was injured in the militancy related incidents in the Kashmir valley.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that on specific information Special Operation Group and the jawans of CRPF 112 Bn conduct search operation in the Harwan area of central Kashmir in the jurisdiction of police station of Harwan.
The police party was fired upon and an encounter took place resulting in the death of one foreign militant.
The slain militant has been identified as Abu Shakir of LeT out fit a resident of Pakistan. During the search operations one AK 47 rifle, 02 Magazines, 01 Pouch and 01 UBGL were recovered from the site of encounter.
Meanwhile unknown gunmen fired upon one Showkat Mir son of Gh. Hassan resident of Lone- Hari Kupwara.He was shot in the house of Ab. Rashid Tantray son of Mohd Sultan resident of Tujar Sharief Sopore, where he had gone for some work. The Injured has been hospitalized.
