| Trouble in Municipal Committee Bhaderwah | | | Bhaderwah, Dec 03 The future of Municipal Committee Bhaderwah continues to hang in uncertainty after some congress councilors have demanded removal of Javed Azad, the cousin of Chief Minister from the post of president. Eight members all from Congress out of the total 13 councilors have expressed no confidence against the incumbent President alleging him of indulging in favoritism, nepotism, dictatorship and letting in interference of outsiders in the working of BMC. . The decedents have reportedly submitted the no confidence motion with Director Local Bodies and DDC Doda. They have also faxed ac copy of the motion to Chief Minister’s office. The councilors were demanding fresh elections for the post of president and vice president According to the sources, the fissures within the Committee surfaced after majority of the councilors felt that the president, who he is also cousin of chief minister, is taking all decisions regarding BMC with out taking other members in confidence. The members in their no confidence motion have alleged President of disparity in the allocation of funds to various wards. The councilors said that they have asked for holding fresh elections for the post of president and vice president. They however said that they will not leave congress party. Councilor of W-7 Suhail Malik who leading the move against the president councilors told News Agency of Kashmir said that they have not yet decided who will become the next president and vice president. He however said that the next candidate would be chosen after fresh elections. “He did nothing for development of wards and never sought the opinion of the members” said Vinod Kumar Bhagat representing ward no -4 and Abdul Rashid Ganai councilor w-10. Sources with in the Congress party disclosed that Mohd Sharief Naiz former minister and State PCC chief Peerzada Mohd Sayeed is in constant touch with councilors and are trying to solve the mess as the matter relates with the Chief Minister’s constituency. On the other hand councilors, have decided to remain firm on their demand of removal of the present president.
