| Case of HM ultra’s escape from police custody: | | HC directs Kishtwar ADM to submit report | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Sept 03: High court judge, Justice Virender Singh has directed additional district magistrate (ADM), Kishtwar, to submit his inquiry report in the alleged escape of HM militant Ajaiz Ahmed Sheikh alias Saleem Javed from police custody in 2008.
The court directive came in a petition filed by Bhadar Wani who sought direction to Kishtwar ADM to submit status report pertaining to the magisterial inquiry being conducted by him into the incident in which his son Nisar Hussain Wani was allegedly killed. Javed was alleged to be involved in the incident.
The ADM was also conducting probe into the escape of Javed from police custody. After hearing counsels for the petitioner and the respondent, Justice Singh directed Kishtwar ADM to submit the status report pertaining to the magisterial probe being conducted by him within two weeks from the issuance of this order.
After his alleged escape from police custody, Javed was putting up at the residence of his uncle in ward No 5 of Marwah colony here.
