| Army organises Veterinary Camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 4:In order to over come the difficulties faced by the poor and under privileged community of Gujjar & Bakkarwals in Darhal and adjoining areas, Rashtriya Rifles made an endeavour to reach out to the poor people in this remote area by organizing a veterinary camp today adjacent to Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Darhal.
Veterinary Doctors from Army as well as Government Veterinary Hospital, Rajouri attended to a large number of livestock at the camp. Free medicines to 451 persons for their livestock and vaccinations to 37 animals were given.
People showed keen interest in the Camp and brought out their problems and their queries which were answered by experts from Army and Animal Husbandry Department.
The camp was organised at the behest of Headquarters Romeo Force.
This initiative of Romeo Force for conduct of veterinary camp was greatly appreciated by the local populace especially, the under-privileged people of the remote areas in and around Darhal and was yet another mile stone in Army’s initiative to reach out to the locals.
While speaking on the occasion Badar Hussain Sarpanch Chaukian (A) thanked the Army for coming forward in their area and providing free medication and treating their livestock.
