| Asgar demands employment for locals in hydro electric project | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KISHTWAR, Sep 4: In connection with the coming visit of party president Mehbooba Mufti, a meeting of the senior leaders of PDP was held today at Kishtwar to review the preparations. The meeting was held under the leadership of Sayed Asgar Ali, MLC in which all the senior leaders were present.
Addressing the meeting, Sayed Asgar Ali said that in the proposed visit of party chief Mehbooba Mufti, party would stressed on the need of renegotiating discriminatory water agreements. He said that agenda of the proposed meetings was to highlight problems of the people of this hilly region.
Coming down heavily on coalition regime for its failure to create job avenues for the unemployed youth of the State, he strongly demanded that local skilled and unskilled youth should be adjusted in the developmental projects especially the hydro-electric projects being executed in this belt. He further demanded that local unemployed youth should be given priority in recruitment in the hydro electric projects to solve the problem of unemployment in this belt.
Rehamat Ullah Malik, Rayaz Zarger, Suresh Sharma, Munshi Ram, Farooq Sadiqqui and others also spoke on the occasion.
