| Jan donates ambulance to PHC Chandak | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Sep 4:Member of Legislative Assembly Poonch Ajaz Jan donated an ultra modern ambulance to PHC Chandak.
The ambulance was donated in a simple but impressive ceremony where in District Development Commissioner, Poonch Ajeet Kumar Sahu & Ashkoor Ahmed Wani SSP Poonch were also present.
The ambulance is equipped with several emergency facilities including an oxygen cylinder compartment.
Speaking on the occasion, Jan said the donation was in response to a long standing request from general public and the PHC authorities.
He noted that the Chandak PHC, which is the only health facility in between Poonch and Chandak with a resident medical officer is facing several problems, “but the need for an ambulance was overwhelming”.
The BMO & CMO in charge of the hospital, Dr Malik, Dr Younisf who received the keys to the ambulance, said the occasion marked a milestone in the life of the PHC and thanked the MLA for what he said, was a kind gesture.
