| Semis line-up drawn in girls’ U-19 kho-kho | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 04: Semifinals position has been cleared with the entry of Kathua, Rajouri, Jammu and Udhampur in the last four stages of the ongoing inter-district (divisional level) under-19 girls’ kho-kho tournament under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Youth Hostel Nagrota, near here today.
Now, the semi-finals have been scheduled for tomorrow at the same venue from 8 am onwards. In the first semi-final, Kathua shall take on Rajouri while Jammu shall lock horns against their counterparts from district Udhampur. The semi-finals shall be followed by the final and prize distribution function.
While Jammu topped group-A, Reasi at No. two position. Similarly, from group-B, Kathua remained the topper winning all three matches while Udhampur finished second.
In all, seven districts of Jammu division turned up for participation in this inter-district event. Three districts of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar failed to report the venue.
Earlier, one of the group matches played today, Kathua defeated Udhampur making it a close contest 4-3. However, in another league match, Udhampur blanked district Poonch 15-0.
The Detailed Results: (League round): Jammu bt Reasi by turn and five points; Samba bt Poonch 7-4; Udhampur bt Poonch 15-0; Rajouri bt Reasi 7-3; Kathua bt Udhampur 4-3.
