| Man drowns in nullah at Pancheri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 04: A man today drowned in a nullah at Kultyar in Pancheri area of Udhampur while trying to cross it.
Police said Jeevan (40), son of Krishnu of Kultyar, was wading through the nullah waters in his village to get to the other side when he drowned.
The body was fished out by police with the help of villagers. It was later shifted to the hospital mortuary. After post-mortem, it was handed over to the family members for last rites.
Pancheri police station had registered a case in this connection and initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 of CrPC.
