Trainees accorded warm farewell | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, September 4: A batch of 121 students of PCM institute of paramedical sciences Jammu joined SDH Akhnoor three months back for the practical training. The students consisting of 69 girls doing diploma in FMPHW, 36 boys pursuing diploma in MMPHW and others in Medical assistant. Keeping this in view a training schedule and a roaster was prepared. Two tutors were nominated Darvinder Singh and Amit Chowdary, who were supposed to monitor all the activities of the students as well as teach them. For proper feel of Training the students were send in groups to different health sub centers where they were involved in all activities taken up by the FMPHW posted their like immunization, eligible couple surveys, village health and nutrition days, mother and child tracking etc, after that they were posted at Primary Health Centre's where they were supervised by the Doctors posted their and trained in patient care. Finally they were posted at Community health Centre's for getting advance training in patient care, ward management, Operation theater, labour room, and emergency. The students were made to actively participate in the health days celebrated worldwide like anti smoking day, world population fortnight celebrations, breast feeding week etc falling during their training duration. Finally, today after completion of training they were accorded a farewell and wished best of the luck in future. This training programme was conceived and supervised by Dr Narinder Block medical Officer Akhnoor. |
