| Nirvana organises classical musical concert | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 4: to promote the classic music in the city Nirvana Academy organized a classical musical concert, here today.
Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Prof. Savita Bakshi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Mukteshi started her recital with Stuti gaan in raag Yaman , followed by “Kaise paave gyaan tu” in Badha Khayal raag yaman, “Hari Muraliya bajai” in Chota Khayal raag yaman and “Moora Sayiaan Bulave Aadhi Raat” a Thumari was next and she concluded with “Tere Ishq nachaya” a sufi kalam . She was accompanied by Neeraj Verma on Tabla and Ashutosh Magotra on Harmonium.
Mukteshi Sharma is a most promising young and highly acclaimed exponent of Hindustani classical music from the city of temple.
The gifted daughter and disciple of Sh. Ashutosh Magotra have carried forward his father musical legacy, giving it new dimensions. She has also commenced training with Prof Baldev Singh Bali renowned classical vocalist of Jammu.
She has credit of also been trained by Shubha Mudgal well-known Indian singer of Hindustani classical music, Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, and popular Indian Pop music. Mukteshi is credited with attracting the young generation towards Indian Classical as well as devotional music by his magical singing. Her voice is a great combination of power and emotion which is enhanced by his impressive diction.
Neeraj Verma is disciple of K.L.Verma and also trained by Yogesh Samsi of Ustad Allha Rakha Garana is one of the few Tabla players of his generation who has equally adept and versatile in the art of accompanying vocal, instrumental and dance. Crispness and clarity of his technique and a total command of rhythm are the classic hallmarks of his style.
Nirvana Academy president Hitesh Badya, Neeraj Sharma Vice President NA, Praduman Singh Jindrahia Advisor NA, K.L Verma Advisor NA, Prof. B.L Bali, Kuldeep Kumar President Aarohi Kala Sangeet Vidhalaya, Ashutosh Dubey, Meenakshi Sharma, Nishant Vaid presented on the occasion. Tandeep Kour anchored the programme.
