| Jammu girls lift U-19 kho-kho trophy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 05: Jammu district bagged the inter-district (divisional level) under-19 girls’ kho-kho trophy outplaying Kathua by one turn and one point in the final played at Youth Hostel Nagrota fields, here today.
The title contest entertained the crowd of other participating teams and officials of the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, Jammu trounced Udhampur 4-3 while Kathua defeated district Rajouri 6-3.
Shivani of Jammu district and Jyoti from Udhampur were adjudged best players of the tournament.
In the final and prize distribution function, general secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Kho-Kho Association, B S Tirthi was chief guest, who gave away medals and trophies to winners and runners-up teams.
Earlier, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Ayaz Khan presented a detailed note of the three-day competition.
