Himachal, Delhi win opening matches | NZ inter-state U-14 cricket tourney begins | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Sept 05: An unbeaten innings of 63 runs from Shubam Arora and 41 runs contributed by Manive today helped Himachal Pradesh take 52 runs lead against hosts Jammu and Kashmir at the end of day one play in the North Zone Inter-State under-14 Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here. When the stumps were drawn, Himachal were playing at 154 for the loss of two wickets after the visitors bowled out J&K for just 92 runs in 53.3 overs. Besides, Shubam Arora and Manive, Vijay was other main contributor with 22 runs. Earlier, Chahat and Rajan of Himachal ripped through the batting line of J&K taking away five and four wickets respectively. From J&K, Sahil Luthra was top scorer with 23 runs. Shubam Singh and Abhishekh Khajuria scored 12 runs each. In another match of the day, played at Kashmir University ground, here, Haryana were struggling at 22 for three against Delhi’s mammoth total of 291. Earlier, Delhi won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 291 runs in 80 overs.
