Employees support three days strike call | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 5: Jammu and Kashmir, Ladhak All Departments Clerical Staff Association has decided to fully support the three day strike call given by the employees who are demanding release of 6th Pay Commission arrears as per the pattern of the central government. Association held a meeting today and alleged that state government has failed to fulfill its commitment to accept all the demands of the employees. The members of the association also critised the government for giving step motherly treatment to the clerical cadre employees both salary wise as well as promotion wise as in many cases junior assistant retires without any promotion. Meeting was chaired by Babu Hussain Malik, provincial president of the association. He expressed his concern over the apathetic attitude of the government which has always befooled the employees and denied them their right. Malik once again reiterated that government should regularize all the contractual, adhoc, daily wagers who had completed seven years of service in different government departments. Removal of pay anomalies of ministerial cadre and enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years.
