Maj Waraich inaugurates Teachers’ Resource Centre at APS Jammu Cantt

Jammu, September 05-The Patron of Army Public School, Jammu Cantt Maj Gen TPS Waraich, VSM, GOC, Tiger Division and Mrs Shireen Waraich, Convenor, Family Welfare Organisation visited the School on Teachers’ Day being celebrated today.
Chairman of the School, Brig Pankaj Saxena was also present on the occasion.
At an impressive function, Maj Gen TPS Waraich, VSM, inaugurated the Teachers’ Resource Centre, wherein Office Automation Software has been installed. This is a major step in the school’s infrastructural growth, aiming at optimizing the existing facilities, through effective flow of data to different administrative deptts, thereby ensuring high level of security and functionality.
Later, Maj Gen TPS Waraich, VSM, Mrs Shireen Waraich and Brig Pankaj Saxena planted Rudraksh (Blue Berry), Silver Oak and Chinar trees in the front garden of the school as part of the on-going Plantation Drive.
Earlier, on their arrival at the School, Maj Gen TPS Waraich, VSM and Mrs Shireen Waraich were accorded a warm welcome by the Principal, Mrs Anu Jandial, Co-ordinators and members of the Students Council.
During his vibrant interaction with the members of the Staff, Maj Gen TPS Waraich, VSM, greeted them and wished them all the best in their noble pursuit of guiding and moulding the students into potential national assets, so that they are able to play their responsible role for the progress and development of the country. He also spoke about teachers' valuable contribution and consistent commitment, which was evident from the brilliant performance of the students in Board examination.
As token of appreciation and gratitude, he felicitated them by giving away gifts to the teachers on the occasion of Teachers" Day being celebrated all over the country today.
The finale of the function was an exciting Puppet Show. Puppetry, as a traditional art form, is being exclusively used in the school, as a powerful medium of ethical education.
