Allegations galore in JU, NSF seeks inquiry | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 5: Students and scholars of Jammu University today observed a complete shutdown in the campus against the prevailing corruption, on the call of National Secular Forum (NSF).
Activists of NSF went across the different teaching departments and asked the students to voluntarily boycotted classes. Responding to the call, students and scholars moved out of the classes. Thereafter, they took out a rally in the campus shouting slogan against University administration and Vice-Chancellor. Agitating students also disrupted the B.Ed counselling for few minutes.
NSF President Vikas Sharma said that front has been continuously raising voice against this but so far nothing concrete has come out. He held University administration responsible for establishing police post in the campus. Sharma demanded immediate withdrawal of police post as it doesn't serve any purpose. He called for time bound completion of high level inquiry.
NSF president University Unit Rohit Sharma urged committee to complete its task in time to prove that it was not favoring JU administration. Among those who were present in the protest included Shafaq Malik, Anshu Katal, Ravi Choudhary , Rahul Sharma, Parshotam,Sukdev Singh, Rohit Sharma, Balveer Kumar, Manu, Ankit, Vicky, and Manjit Singh.
