| Woman raped in Poonch, accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU: Police have arrested a man in Poonch for allegedly raping a woman at a secluded place near Nangali on the outskirts of the town.
Police said in a complaint lodged with Poonch police station, Zaheen Akhtar, wife of Mohammad Rashid, alleged that she was raped by a man while she was going home at Nangali.
She identified the accused as Mohammad Mahroof, son of Akbar Hussain, also a Nangali resident.
Acting on her complaint, police arrested the accused and booked him under sections 376 and 341 of RPC.The woman was also got medically examined by police at the hospital.
