Confirmation of OPG, filling of vacant posts demanded | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Sep 6: A general body meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sanjay Abrol ( president) of the association in which various issues including the long pending stagnation for the last two decades, confirmation of OPG posts and filling of vacant posts and other problems were discussed. President also spoke in the meeting that the advocate general office is the prestigious and major head which defends all the court cases of the Government and employees of this office works late hours and also in the holidays but unfortunately this office has been ignored by the Government and the employees are retiring on the same post against which they were appointed and there counterparts working in Civil Secretariat as well as High Court have got four to six promotion in these years which is bad, unjustified, unreasonable and a cruel joke with those employees who work with honesty, devotion and dedication. The employees which deserve appreciation from every nook and corner of the state functionary have been ignored due to the reason best known to the authorities/government. The employees of this office through association of this office has already represented number of times before the authorities as well as the government for redressal of their genuine demands but as yet no action has been taken in particularly in respect of reorganization of this office despite various assurance given by the concerned authorities. Those who attended the meeting included Autar Krishan Bhat, spokesman-cum-gen secy, Rakesh Sharma, and Bishwa Nath Ratta, Sultan Sludin, Sham Lal, Satish Kumar Bhat, Anita Koul, Manorama Kalpsoo, Anju Koul, Mohni Kakroo Mushtaq Ahmad and Parshotam Lal
