| Fraudulent appointments of RT teachers evoke protests at Uri | | | Srinagar, Dec 4 The unemployed youth took to streets against the alleged bunglings in recruitment of Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers at Uri. Seeking a probe to detect the frauds in appointment of RT teachers, the protesting unemployed youth alleged that officers of Education Zone Uri have fraudulently appointment six teachers under RT scheme in Education Department. The spokesman of aggrieved unemployed youth Zaffar Iqbal told KNS that officers of education department have accepted a bribe of Rs 40,000/- from each one of the appointees, as the authorities did not issue any notice in any local newspapers as is the rule and precedence. It is in place to mention here that fraudulent appointments of 330 plumbers were recently unearthed in Uri tehsil and interestingly 300 appointees were found to have got appointed on the basis of fake certificates. It is in place to mention here that some activist of ruling coalition and State Government officials are involved in the recruitment of these illegal appointments. Meanwhile Senior Congress leader and sitting MLC Ab Ghani Vakil had demanded a full scale investigation to probe the appointment made in contravention of recruitment rules in PHE department. |
